Frequently Asked Questions About Team Building and Low Challenge Course

Do I need to book on-line or can I just call office? [back to top]
You can call the office but the best way is to hit the contact us button and tell us about your needs. We will set up a time to call you.

How large of a group can you take? [back to top]
It depends on the amount of time you have to spend with us, but the minimum number is 6.

How long does it take? [back to top]
We have half and full day programs and multi day programs as well (normally 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM) but we can tailor to fit your needs.

What kind of experience does your team have? [back to top]
Each one of our facilitators offers something different and unique to offer to your group:

• 10-30 years Corporate Experience
• 2-4 years Non Profit Experience
• 10-20 years Private Consulting Experience
• Bachelor's degrees
• Training in Experiential Education
• Six Sigma and Lean Experience
• Published Author

How long does it take to complete the low course? [back to top]
That depends on you and your goals. Plan to spend a minimum of 3 hours with us. Low elements include but are not limited to:

1. Islands (Universal Element)
2. Team Wall
3. Track Walk
4. Spider’s Web (Universal Element)
5. Whale Watch (Universal Element)
6. 4-way Traffic Jam
7. Trolleys
8. Trust Fall
9. Zig Zag
10. All Aboard

How high will I be off the ground? [back to top]
During the low course you will be anywhere from 0 feet to 5 feet above the ground.

What should I wear? [back to top]

Clothing should be:

• Loose, comfortable and durable
• T-shirts and tops should be long enough to tuck into pants or shorts
• Shorts should reach mid-thigh or longer
• Long pants or sweats are preferred during cooler seasons
• In hot weather, shorts and shoes and socks maybe preferred.
• Layered clothing (please wear layers suitable to the season that will allow you to be comfortable all day.

Shoes should be:

• Comfortable, such as sneakers or hiking boots (NO OPEN TOE SHOES!)
• Suitable for weather conditions (consider rain, mud, cold, etc...)

Jewelry should be:

• Left at home or locked safely in your vehicle
• For safety, please make sure any body piercings are protected or removed

Hair should be:

• Tied back or secured if it is long enough to get caught or tangled in equipment
• If a hairstyle hinders the secure fit of the helmet (high course) the individual will not be able to participate on the challenge course.

Glasses and Contact wearers:

• Take precautions that you would normally take when participating in outdoor activities to protect your eyes and eye wear.

Can I bring a camera? [back to top]
Yes but we ask you to put pictures on our Face book page and become a fan.

Do you operate in the rain? [back to top]
Yes, we operate in the rain. However, the course will be closed if there is lightening activity in the area. We will also close for high winds. If we know in advance that we will be closed, we will try to contact you at the contact number you provided to us when you booked your event. If your event is cancelled due to weather, you can either rebook for another time or issue a rain check. See: Weather Policy.

What if it is too cold outside? [back to top]
Please be aware the temperature can be quite cold in the spring. Being on the course in the cold is fun if you are dressed for the weather. We recommend that you layer your clothing.

How safe is it? [back to top]
All adventure activities done above the ground carry certain inherent risks. We have taken numerous steps to mitigate these risks. Our course was built to meet or exceed ACCT professional building standards. Our guides are professionally trained and our equipment is very high quality. The course and equipment are inspected daily.

What is your cancellation policy? [back to top]

What if some of the team members can not participate or won't in some of the elements? [back to top]
This will happen. We still will ask them to participate in different ways. We start the day with a full value contract and cover this with the group.

When do I need to arrive for the low ropes course? [back to top]
Yes. We offer group rates for groups of 10 or more participants.

Are reservations required? [back to top]
Yes. You also will need to call the office (812-594-2727) and discuss the objectives of the day, timing, date, special needs and all other logistics.

How much should I tip my guides? [back to top]
Our guides are professionally trained to ensure that you have an educational, enjoyable, and memorable experience. The tipping guideline is the industry standard of 10-15% per person.
